Whenever I travel, I usually come across two ladies who travel in ultimate style, one is myself and the other is obviously the competitor. However, we both have our own definitions of style. For me, traveling in style means straightened hair, a touch of bb cream, thin eyeliner and a soft lip gloss with a nice alluring scent. On the other hand, for the competitor, it’s a neatly tied pony, with a dark lipstick and a pair of googles. Never in my life have I been in a flight where I don’t find a lady dressed like this.
Let me tell you an interesting thing, when we travel in style, it is considered as one of the traveling etiquettes. So if you want to travel in style, just follow these tips and honestly there will be no one better than you on the flight.
When you are traveling, it’s really essential that the night before your travel, you take plenty of rest. A good night’s sleep can do wonders for the body. It’s also important that you drink plenty of water and stay hydrated. If you are a coffee or tea drinker, then grab your early morning dose along with a hearty breakfast so that you stay energized. Don’t leave things for the last minute because you probably will end up forgetting something in the rush.
I personally find this tip a little difficult to stick to so even you don’t have to stick to it at all times. If you feel like getting all dolled up for a flight, then go for it. But on the whole like I said earlier, you will feel more comfortable if you keep your makeup simple. I personally find BB cream a good alternative for base and thin eyeliner with a soft lip gloss is the perfect makeup for traveling. It’s neither heavy nor too simple.
Honestly speaking here the trick is to look good and feel good .If you feel tight clothes are suitable for you then thumbs up, go ahead and wear skinny jeans and a nice top. But if you are a foodie like me then wear loose clothes as you will stay comfortable and will feel relaxed. Plus try wearing layered clothing, like wear a tank top and top it with a long shrug but if you feel hot, take the shrug off and wear a poncho on top of it.
There are a few things that you should put in your handbag to stay fresh and most importantly feel stylish and comfortable. Things you need to pack in your handbag are: BB cream, eyeliner, blush, lip gloss, sunglasses and a scarf. A scarf comes in SO handy most of the times, especially if you are wearing a simple dress. It can add grace to your dress or if you feel cold on the flight, it can keep you warm.
Forget what’s going viral on the internet these days about “The New Black”. Black was and will always be the new black; there is no color in the world that can make you look more chic and stylish than black. On travel days, stick with black particularly if you are traveling on long-haul flights as it will hide any spillage or crinkles. Black is your best weapon as it hides everything.
