When you travel with your children, no matter which hotel you’re staying at with its numerous amenities and conveniences, there are oft times when you find yourself thinking of new ways to entertain your children inside the hotel room – especially when the weather outside is too hot or its raining. On these overly hot or drenched days how does one entertain their kids. Sometimes a child needs their parent to play with them or do some activity with them instead of just playing on the iPad or another gaming console. There are numerous ways which can be made into a kid’s hotel activity. This article will teach you how to make your own kids hotel activity pack that you may take with you on your holidays and keep your children entertained. And don’t worry it only includes items that re light and not bulky, since it’s a nuisance to carry the latter while traveling. All the following things that you’ll require will easily fit into an A4 Size Pencil case.
The materials that comprise our pack include the following: 10 paper plates, toy cars, colored paper-tape (washi tape), watercolor paint set/pens/markers, balloons, rulers and plain paper notebook.
These items can be used in a number of ways. And the following paragraphs will enlist some of these ideas. Your kids will probably have several ideas of their own.
For this you’ll need all of the ten paper plates, the colored paper tape and a marker (which is optional). On the floor of your room, using the paper tape, trace a tic-tac-toe grid. Then make a large ‘O’ on five of the plates and ‘X’ on the remaining five. You have your grid and your X and Os, you can play Tic-Tac-Toe and hopefully get 3 in a row.
For this, you need the paper plates to paint on, a watercolor set with the brush, and a glass of water. Then encourage your kids to look outside your hotel room window and ask them what they see, objects landscape or anything. Then ask them to put what they see to paper. Add the name, location and date to their masterpiece so you can make a lovely memento of it when you get home.
For this you only need the colored tape and toy cars. Make a track out of the colored tape, ask your kids to make the track nice and big. Then race the toy cars around your track.
The materials required are a couple of paper plates, two plastic rulers, a colored paper tape and one balloon. Now use the paper tape to affix the rulers to the paper plates in order to make a racket. Blow the balloon and now you can play tennis with your child.
