When you think of Dubai you automatically think of luxury, beautiful beaches, and the world’s biggest mall. The Arabs like to go all out in the extravagance department and as Dubai grows so does its ever-expanding list of luxury hotels. Some of the top hotels in Dubai have refined international food and extra-special services. Having been to Dubai multiple times I feel as if I have earned the right to rate the top four luxury hotels that I thought were worth my money.
This hotel is beautiful, to begin with, and its stunning design has made it iconic. The concept behind the design is that it is supposed to look like a billowing sail which reaches 1,000 feet into the air. At sunset, the hotels exterior comes to life with a light show that moves the sail-shaped structures.
Rest assured its charm and beauty is not only restricted to the exterior, it’s just as luxuriously stunning from the inside. It boasts impressive 2-floor suites that are fit for royalty (and celebrities). One of the most stunning features of the hotel is the Royal Suite has a towering 4 poster canopy bed which rotates on a pedestal. If that is not enough, it also has a staircase made of marble and gold. If the hotel is good enough for royalty, it’s good enough for us mere mortals, right? Joking! On a more serious note, you get exactly what you paid for and more.
Dubai is a contradiction unto itself, with the world’s largest uninterrupted sand desert on one side and glittering skyscrapers on the other. Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort is a dreamy oasis in the middle of the desert. The rooms have subtle earthy tones with intricate mosaics and gem-toned accessories. All the rooms have a stunning view of the expansive desert, but the best view goes to the Deluxe Terrace rooms. If you want an authentic Middle Eastern experience, then this is the hotel worth staying at. The food is exquisite; the spa is a perfect stop for a relaxation for both the mind and the body.
In a city which prides itself on being over the top, this hotel offers the first-class luxury in a classier and very refined setting. It boasts 302 guest rooms with beautiful deep soaking baths, rain showers, local art, and warm décor which is elegant and timeless. The hotels signature restaurant Shang Palace serves delicious Cantonese food while Marrakech serves modern Moroccan cuisine in an airy courtyard. Shangri-La’s location makes it ideal for a holiday because it’s centrally located.
The literal translation of Al Qasr is “the Palace”, and it’s just that with posh, classical, and lavish embellishments are created to invoke an atmosphere of an upscale Sheikh’s summer residence. This is a beautiful resort has its own stretch of sand at Jumeirah Beach. The hotel has everything from multiple restaurants, spa, tennis courts, beach and much more. It’s a place worth staying at if you want a lavish holiday.
